Ultra-rare vintage fountain pen signature on a 2.75 x 2-inch clip from an album page or letter, probably dating to his stage days in the 1910s. In fine condition for its age, with closely-cropped edges, slightly irregular dimensions, and a fleck of soiling to one corner. This is just the fourth example we have encountered in over 35 years. Frederick Kerr, veteran character actor of the stage, and silent and early talkie screens, is remembered by horror, sci-fi and fantasy buffs for his role as Baron Frankenstein in James Whale's Frankenstein (1931).
