Cat. #00159101: FREDERICK KERR

Sorry, this item has already been sold.

Ultra-rare original vintage two-page 8.5 x 11-inch contract on off-white paper for his role as Lord Harry Melrose in Raffles (1930), which was filmed the same year he filmed Frankenstein, released in 1931, boldly signed-- with his full name, breaking his custom of writing only "F. Kerr"-- in black fountain pen, above the signatures of two movie studio executives. In fine condition for its age, with two minor horizontal folds. This is just the fourth example we have encountered in over 35 years. Frederick Kerr, veteran character actor of the stage, and silent and early talkie screens, is remembered by horror, sci-fi and fantasy buffs for his role as Baron Frankenstein in James Whale's Frankenstein (1931).
