Highly rare and quite choice vintage personal check made out to theater doyenne Jean Dalrymple in 1947, boldly signed in black fountain pen. In fine condition for its age, with a torn upper left-hand corner, a nick to the upper area and gentle toning throughout. Eminent movie producer Carl Laemmle, Jr. continued his father's Universal Horror tradition with Dracula (1931), Frankenstein (1931), The Murders in the Rue Morgue Morgue (1932), The Old Dark House (1932), The Mummy (1932), The Invisible Man (1933), The Black Cat (1934), and Bride of Frankenstein (1935).
