Uncommonly early black fountain pen signature on a roughly 3x4-inch portion of a grey autograph album page, acquired in-person in the early 1930s. In good condition, with some irregular trimming. Excellent for display. Delightfully eccentric character actress Elsa Lanchester portrayed both Mary Shelley and the titular newlywed in Bride of Frankenstein (1935), and went on to appear in a handful of other horror, sci-fi and fantasy films, including The Ghost Goes West (1935), The Spiral Staircase (1945), The Bishop's Wife (1947), Alice in Wonderland (1955), Bell Book and Candle (1955), Mary Poppins (1964), Pajama Party (1964), Blackbeard's Ghost (1978), Willard (1971), Terror in the Wax Museum (1973), and Arnold (1973).
