Uncommonly early 3.25 x 5.5-inch black and white English postcard portrait, dating to the era of his horror movie heyday in the early 1930s, boldly signed in blue fountain pen. In fine condition for its age, with a few minor surface crinkles. Larger-than-life Oscar winner Charles Laughton made a number of contributions to the horror, sci-fi and fantasy genres, included  roles in James Whale's The Old Dark House (1932), The Island of Lost Souls (1932) and The Strange Door (1951), which co-starred Boris Karloff.
