Rare vintage inscribed signature on a 4x6-inch pale yellow autograph album page, acquired in-person in 1935. In good condition for its age, with a faint square-shaped patch patch of toning, left by an image affixed to the subsequent page in the book, behind the inscription and dedication, but not actually touching the autograph itself. Lovely English leading lady Betty Lawford starred as Mary Watson in The Return of Sherlock Holmes (1929), with Clive Brook in the role of the titular sleuth, and Rose in Wesley Ruggle's horror classic The Monkey's Paw (1933). She was also memorable in Secrets of a Secretary (1931), Berkeley Square (1933), Love Before Breakfast (1936), and Stolen Holiday (1937) before her tragic death, of never fully clarified causes, at the age of 48.
