Scarce fountain pen signature on a 3x5-inch white card, dating to the 1980s.  In very good condition and ideal for matting.  English-born Sir David Lean, who created epic masterpieces such as The Bridge on the River Kwai (1957), Lawrence of Arabia (1962) and Dr. Zhivago (1965), was nominated for seven Oscars and one twice.  Spielberg and Kubrick lauded him as one of the greatest directors of all-time.
