Highly rare vintage inscribed black fountain pen signature-- the earliest we've ever encountered-- on a 4x6-inch pale green album page, acquired in-person by inveterate collector Howard Davis following a performance of the Broadway play "If I Were You" in 1938. Some gentle creases; otherwise, in fine condition. Note that the image of the star shown here alongside the scan of the autograph is not included. Great English character Bernard Lee is remembered for playing James Bond's superior, M, in eleven films in the Bond franchise, including the much-loved installments Dr. No (1962), From Russia with Love (1963), Goldfinger (1964), and Thunderball (1965).
