Scarce inscribed signature in blue felt-tip marker on a 3x5-inch white card, acquired in-person by inveterate collector Janet Bruce in the 1980s, at the very onset of his career.  In good condition, with just a hint of corner wear. Esteemed, oftentimes controversial Black director Spike Lee has been nominated for two Oscars, for Do the Right Thing (1989) and 4 Little Girls (1994), and finally won for Best Adapted Screenplay for 2018's BlacKkKlansman. His impressive body of work also includes She's Gotta Have It (1986), School Daze (1988), Mo' Better Blues (1990), Jungle Fever (1991), Malcolm X (1992), Bamboozled (2000), 25th Hour (2002), and Inside Man (2006).
