Cat. #0016422122: HERSCHELL GORDON LEWIS

Sorry, this item has already been sold.

Quite scarce vintage signature in black fountain pen on a 2.5 x 5-inch portion of the white back of a photograph, dating to the 1980s. In fairly good condition, but priced to reflect some creases, which are not terrible, but are worth mentioning. Dubbed the Godfather of Gore, director Herschell Gordon Lewis is credited with pioneering the "splatter" sub-genre of horror flicks, including Blood Feast (1963), Two Thousand Maniacs! (1964), Color Me Blood Red (1965), Monster a-Go Go (1965), and A Taste of Blood (1967).
