Quite scarce vintage 8x10-inch black and white portrait, looking classy and leggy in flapper attire, boldly signed in blue fountain pen in the early 1930s. In fine condition, with a few gentle surface crinkles. Alluring silent movie vamp Margaret Livingston is best remembered for her portrayal of the home-wrecking "Woman from the City" in F.W. Murnau's masterpiece Sunrise (1927), and was also dazzling in Slaves of Beauty (1927), American Beauty (1927), The Scarlet Dove (1928), and The Last Warning (1929). In 1929, she dubbed Louise Brooks' voice in The Canary Murder Case and her excellent diction further allowed for a smooth transition into talkies, where she continued to play venomous backstabbers.
