Extremely rare vintage AFTRA contract, filled out and and signed in blue ballpoint pen in 1961. In good conodition, with some gentle age-related edge wear and one minor stain in the bottom area. Fair, freckled, redheaded Broadway singer and dancer Danny Lockin entered films in 1962, with small parts in Gypsy (1962) and The Stripper (1963), before landing the career-changing role of Barnaby Jones in the Barbra Streisand classic Hello, Dolly! (1969). His career came to a tragic halt when, at the age of 34, he was brutally tortured to death-- with over 100 wounds-- in a hotel room by a man named Charles Hopkins whom he met in a bar. Hopkins kept a diary of his sadistic behaviors under his bed which revealed that he had been planning to murder the actor for several months. Inexplicably, he evaded conviction.
