Scarce vintage 3 x 4.5-inch glossy sepia-tone postcard portrait, boldly signed in green fountain pen in the 1930s. In fine condition, with the photograph trimmed down very slightly from its original 3.5 x 5.5 size for the purpose of framing by a previous owner, such that the edges are the tiniest bit uneven. Forever associated with her portrayal of mumbling, bumbling, doorknob-collecting Aunt Clara on T.V.'s "Bewitched" (1964-1968), endearing character actress Marion Lorne was principally a stage performer. The best of her unfortunately few-and-far-between forays into film was the role of Robert Walker's clueless, smother mother in Alfred Hitchcock's Strangers on a Train (1951).
