Heavenly 8x10-inch glossy black and white 1930s studio portrait, signed and inscribed in later years in blue ballpoint ink. In fine condition, with mild border creasing and light handling bends that do not substantially detract from the overall appearance of the image. The writing, just a shade light, is nonetheless perfectly readable on the actual photograph, although difficult to see in the accompanying scan. Charming Anita Louise entered film in 1922 at the age of six, and graduated to ingenue roles in major productions throughout the 1930s. After 1940, she appeared mostly in B-movies, turning to television in the following decade. She considered her beauty to be a detriment to her career, hindering her from being considered for more serious roles.
