Cat. #0016614252: PAUL LYNDE

Sorry, this item has already been sold.

Highly rare vintage 8x10-inch glossy black and white publicity portrait, boldly signed and inscribed in blue felt-tip marker in the early 1970s. In fine condition, with a few minor handling dings. With his distinct drawl, stinging barbs and sexually-charged innuendos, comic actor and gay icon Paul Lynde stole every scene in films like Bye Bye Birdie (1963), Send Me No Flowers (1964), Beach Blanket Bingo (1965), and Rabbit Test (1978). His extensive work on television included classic episodes of "The Munsters" (1964-1965), "Bewitched" (1965-1971) and "I Dream of Jeannie" (1966-1968), as well as "The Paul Lynde Show" (1972-1973) and a long run on the game show "The Hollywood Squares" (1966-1979). He died tragically of a drug abuse-related heart attack at the age of 55 and his autograph is rather elusive in any format.
