Charming vintage glossy 8x10-inch black and white portrait, boldly signed and inscribed in blue fountain pen in the 1930s. In fine condition, with a stray ink mark to the bottom border, an emulsion spot in the background near the left edge and some extremely light surface crackle in the background at the top left, completely invisible when the photo is viewed head-on. Beloved singer and leading lady Jeanette MacDonald was famously paired with Nelson Eddy in the hit picture Naughty Marietta in 1935, and the two went on to appear in eight more classic films.
