Almost impossible to find vintage violet fountain pen signature on a 4x6-inch tan autograph album page, acquired in-person by inveterate autograph hounds Irene and Rose Gellar in the early 1950s and decorated with a small Players Directory image. In good condition for its age and just the third example of her autograph we have encountered in over 35 years. Unforgettable character actress Harriet E. MacGibbon, who played dizzy society types and hysterical, stuck-up matrons in the vein of Josephine Hull and Maude Eburne, had numerous small roles on television and in films like A Majority of One (1961), The Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse (1962) and Son of Flubber (1963), but is best remembered for her longtime portrayal of Margaret Drydsale, wife to Milburn Drysdale, on "The Beverly Hillbillies" (1962-1969). Her signature is the one most collectors of the show's cast members' autographs are missing.
