Many examples of this same image exist bearing a very deceptive secretarial autograph of the star-- but this one is the real deal. Among legendary character actor Barton MacLane's countless film credits were roles in numerous horror, sci-fi and fantasy films, including The Walking Dead (1936), Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde (1941), The Mummy's Ghost (1944), Cry of the Werewolf (1944), and Unknown Island (1948). Highlights elsewhere included The Prince and the Pauper (1937), The Maltese Falcon (1941), The Treasure of the Sierra Madre (1948), and The Glenn Miller Story (1954), and as General Paterson on T.V.'s "I Dream of Jeannie" (1965-1969).
