The only autographed portrait we have ever seen of him-- a black and white magazine image in his prime, boldly signed in blue fine-tip pen in the 1980s and affixed to a 5x7-inch white mount. In good condition, with light staining around the edges of the photo from the glue used to affix the clipping. Esteemed film director, screenwriter and playwright Joseph L. Mankiewicz nabbed two Academy Awards for A Letter to Three Wives in 1949 and two more for All About Eve in 1951. He is also remembered for the horror film Dragonwyck (1946), The Ghost and Mrs. Muir (1947), The Barefoot Contessa (1954), Guys and Dolls (1955), and Cleopatra (1963).
