Cat. #001662312: DOROTHY MALONE

Tough to acquire and quite attractive vintage 8x10-inch black and white glossy portrait in her prime, boldly signed in black fine-tip pen around the 1960s or 1970s. In good condition. Alluring Dorothy Malone excelled at playing venom-spewing divas, wide-eyed hysterics and murderous femmes fatales. She was nominated for an Academy Award for her portrayal of a self-destructive nymphomaniac in Written on the Wind (1956), Douglas Sirk’s roman a` clef about the real-life scandals of torch singer Libby Holman, and was also memorable in Night and Day (1946), The Big Sleep (1948), Young at Heart (1954), and the Lon Chaney biopic Man of a Thousand Faces (1957).
