Cat. #0016642: FREDRIC MARCH

Sorry, this item has already been sold.

Choice, uncommonly early 8x10-inch sepia-tone publicity portrait, boldly signed and inscribed in blue fountain pen in the late 1930s. In fine condition for its age, with a light brown stain to the bottom right-hand corner tip and a few minor surface creasesHandsome leading man Fredric March is beloved of horror, sci-fi and fantasy buffs for his Oscar-nominated double role in Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde (1931). He further contributed to the genre with his roles as the weary Grim Reaper in Death Takes a Holiday (1934) and the bewildered husband of sorceress Veronica Lake in the horror-themed comedy I Married a Witch (1943).
