Rare vintage blue ballpoint pen signature on a 3x5-inch tan card, dating to the 1950s. In good condition. Beloved silent movie star Mae Marsh, remembered for her marvelous collaborations with Mack Sennett and D.W. Griffith, including the latter's legendary Birth of a Nation in 1915, transitioned into character roles with the advent of sound.  She popped up as assorted mothers, aunts, wives, society matrons, and townspeople in classic films like Rebecca of Sunnybrook Farm (1932), Alice in Wonderland (1933), Black Fury (1935), The Grapes of Wrath (1940), Belle Starr (1941), How Green Was My Valley (1941), The Song of Bernadette (1943), Jane Eyre (1944), A Tree Grows in Brooklyn (1945), My Darling Clementine (1946), Miracle on 34th Street (1947), A Letter to Three Wives (1949), and The Searchers (1956).
