Highly scarce vintage black fountain pen sinature on a portion of a toned autograph album page, acquired in-person in the 1930s and affixed some years later to a 4x6-inch off-white card, alongside a small magazine image. Some faint browning from glue on the verso, but,overall, in fine condition for its age. Before his tragic heart attack at the age of 52, dashing Alan Marshall was noteworthy in films like After the Thin Man (1936), Night Must Fall (1937), Invisible Enemy (1938), The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes (1939) with Basil Rathbone and Nigel Bruce, The Hunchback of Notre Dame (1939), and House on Haunted Hill (1959).
