From a massive horde of signatures, all acquired in-person over three decades by an indefatigable autograph hound, comes this highly scarce vintage inscribed blue fountain pen signature on a 4x6-inch off-white card, decorated with a book image, acquired in the 1960s. In very fine condition. Brassy, curvaceous Earl Carroll and Ziefeld girl-turned-film actress Marion Martin was dubbed "Hollywood's blonde menace," typically cast as brazen gold-diggers, gangster's gals, strippers, and chorines. In the 1940s, she played sexy foils to the Marx Brothers and dug up a few support roles in mostly secondary features. Her career, which never quite transcended the B-level ranks, collapsed in the following decade and she settled quietly into marriage and charity work. She was a reclusive type and her autograph is highly scarce in any format.
