Quite scarce fountain pen signature, dated 1934, on a 2x4-inch tan card. In good condition for its age, with gentle toning throughout, and suitable for matting. Note that the image of the star shown here alongside the scan of the autograph is not included. No-nonsense character actor Walter McGrail appeared in over 150 films between the silent era and 1951, typically cast as authority figures. Of note were his roles in the horror, sci-fi, fantasy, and crime flicks Murder by the Clock (1931); The Shadow Strikes (1937); The Mysterious Doctor Satan (1940); The Green Hornet (1940); and Dick Tracy vs. Crime, Inc. (1941). He also appeared on episodes of T.V.'s "The Adventures of Superman" (1952), and in the classic films Reefer Madness (1936), Stagecoach (1939), The Grapes of Wrath (1939) and W.C. Fields' My Little Chickadee (1940).
