Bold signature in blue marker on a 3.25 x 6-inch portion of a white card, acquired in-person in the 1990s.  In very good condition, with a slightly unevenly trimmed bottom edge, and ideal for matting.  In 1956, the actor played Dr. Miles J. Bennell in Invasion of the Body Snatchers (1956), a role he would later reprise in Philip Kaufman's celebrated remake in 1978.  McCarthy made many other contributions to the horror, sci-fi and fantasy genres, appearing in the "Long Live Walter Jameson" episode of T.V.'s "The Twilight Zone" (1960), Piranha (1978), The Howling (1981), Twilight Zone:  The Movie (1983), Innerspace (1987), Dark Tower (1989), and Ghoulies III (1991), among many others.
