Cat. #0017232: DIANA MILLER

Sorry, this item has already been sold.

Irreplaceable vintage 10x8-inch black and white Witzel Studios portrait, boldly and playfully signed and inscribed in the 1920s, "To Burnett, / 'Camera! Lights!' / Diana Miller". In good condition for its age, with a minor crease to the lower left-hand corner. Lovely, red-headed leading lady Diana Miller, who was briefly married to director George A. Medford, was memorable in films and shorts like Honor Among Men (1924), Flames of Desire (1924), Curlytop (1924), The Rainbow Trail (1925), All Abroad (1925), and A Business Engagement (1925) before her tragic death of a triple hemorrhage of the lungs at the age of 25. Something of a cult figure, her signature is highly prized and rarely found by collectors of silent movie star autographs.
