Cat. #001731200: MARILYN MILLER

Sorry, this item has already been sold.

RARE vintage black fountain pen signature on a 2.75 x 5-inch portion of a beige album page, acquired in-person and dated November 5, 1926. In good condition. This is just the second example we have ever offered of the autograph of charming Marilyn Miller, who was one of the most popular Broadway musical stars of the 1920s and early 1930s. A gifted actress, singer and tap dancer, who excelled at playing rags-to-riches types, her personal life was marred by disappointment, tragedy and frequent illness. In 1936, she died unexpectedly while undergoing a nasal surgery, aged only 37 years.
