Cat. #00173171: DENNIE MOORE

Sorry, this item has already been sold.

Quite scarce vintage 8x10-inch black and white portrait, boldly signed and inscribed in black fountain pen in-person for legendary collector Saul Goodman in the 1930s. In good condition, with a minute white fleck on the left side, embedded in the image itself. Dennie Moore was one of Hollywood's hardest-working character players, floating frantically between studios to play blathering, gossipy maids, secretaries, waitresses, roommates, and small town girls in classic films of the 1930s through 1950s. She was a veritable scene-stealer in Meet Nero Wolfe (1936), The Perfect Specimen (1937), Angel (1937), Cowboy from Brooklyn (1938), Boy Meets Girl (1938), Mystery House (1938), Secrets of an Actress (1938), Bachelor Mother (1939), The Women (1939), The Adventures of Jane Arden (1939), Eternally Yours (1939), Saturday's Children (1940), Dive Bomber (1941), Anna Lucasta (1949), and The Model and the Marriage Broker (1951).
