Highly rare vintage inscribed black fountain pen signature on a 3x5-inch off-white slip, attained in the 1950s and decorated with a small Players Directory image. In good condition. Note that the image of the star shown here alongside the scan of the autographed piece is not included. Ida Moore, elderly, adorably eccentric character actress of the silent era through Golden Age, played Mrs. Kirby in the horror flick Soul of a Monster (1944) and Cornelia Coates in the horror-themed mystery The Ghost That Walks Alone (1944). She also appeared in such classic films as Johnny Belinda (1948), Harvey (1950), The Lemon Drop Kid (1951), Show Boat (1951), Scandal Sheet (1952), and Desk Set (1957), as well as in episodes of T.V.'s "I Love Lucy", "Rocky Jones, Space Ranger" and "Alfred Hitchcock Presents." This is one of only a small handful of examples of her autograph we have encountered in over 35 years.
