TOUGH to acquire vintage 4x6-inch black and white advertising postcard portrait, shown in-costume as Mr. Miyagi, boldly signed and inscribed in-person for a radio host in black felt-tip pen in 1997. Note that 8x10-inch autographed portraits of the star as this character have recently sold at auction for over $750! A pinhole to the upper area, some mild creasing and light edgewear; otherwise, in fine condition. Much-loved Asian-American character actor Pat Morita excelled in offbeat supporting parts on T.V.'s "The Odd Couple" (1972), "Love, American Style" (1971-1972), "M*A*S*H" (1973-1974), "Sanford and Son" (1974-1976), and "Happy Days" (1975-1983). In 1984, he landed the plum role of sagacious, wisecracking Mr. Miyagi in The Karate Kid (1984), a role he would reprise in the 1986 and 1989 sequels.
