Uncommon vintage 8x10-inch black and white portrait, boldly signed and inscribed in black felt-tip marker in 1979.  In very good condition.  Veteran character actor Lloyd Nolan, with his baritone voice and rock-solid, but somehow sympathetic face, vacillated between A- and B-pictures, and kindly and villainous roles.  His long list of classic film credits includes 'G' Men (1935), Stolen Harmony (1935), The Texas Rangers (1936), King of Gamblers (1937), Ebb Tide (1937), King of Alcatraz (1938), The Magnificent Fraud (1939), Johnny Apollo (1940), Dressed to Kill (1941), A Tree Grows in Brooklyn (1945), Wild Harvest (1947), A Hatful of Rain (1957), Peyton Place (1957), Julia (1968), Earthquake (1974), and Woody Allen's Hannah and Her Sisters (1986).
