Cat. #0019632212222: KIM NOVAK

Enchanting 8x10-inch black and white portrait in her prime, boldly signed in violet felt-tip pen in the late 1970s. In good condition. Gorgeous Kim Novak came to prominence with her leading role in Picnic in 1955, and went on to excellent work in films like The Man with the Golden Arm (1955), Pal Joey (1957), Alfred Hitchcock's Vertigo (1958), Bell Book and Candle (1958), Middle of the Night (1959), The Notorious Landlady (1962), and Of Human Bondage (1964). After a promising start, however, Novak withdrew from the public eye in 1965 and appeared onscreen only sporadically until 1991, when she prematurely retired from the industry following a tempestuous experience with director Mike Figgis on the set of Liebestraum, which proved to be her final film.
