Cat. #00196322122: KIM NOVAK

Sorry, this item has already been sold.

Enchanting 8x10-inch black and white portrait in her prime, boldly signed in-person in black felt-tip marker several years ago for an associate of ours. In excellent condition and terrific for display. Gorgeous Kim Novak came to prominence with her leading role in Picnic in 1955, and went on to excellent work in films like The Man with the Golden Arm (1955), Pal Joey (1957), Alfred Hitchcock's Vertigo (1958), Bell Book and Candle (1958), Middle of the Night (1959), The Notorious Landlady (1962), and Of Human Bondage (1964). After a promising start, however, Novak withdrew from the public eye in 1965 and appeared onscreen only sporadically until 1991, when she prematurely retired from the industry following a tempestuous experience with director Mike Figgis on the set of Liebestraum, which proved to be her final film.
