Rare vintage blue ballpoint pen signature on a 3x5-inch tan card, acquired in-person by inveterate autograph hound Bob Keidanz in the 1960s. In good condition, with gentle toning, and suitable for matting with a favorite photograph. Short, fast-paced Jay Novello specialized in playing ethnic types, sometimes Spanish, Greek or Mexican, but usually Italian. Noteworthy in films like The Miracle of Our Lady of Fatima (1952), The Robe (1953) and Elvis Presley's Harum Scarum (1965), his prolific television work included frequent character roles on T.V.'s "I Love Lucy" (1951-1956) and "The Andy Griffith Show" (1962-1964).
