Rare vintage handwritten, signed note on a 3x5-inch tan sheet, dated June of 1962, a little over a year before his untimely death. In fine condition for its age, with tape remnants to the left and right edges. Wonderful playwright and screenwriter Clifford Odets is best remembered for politically-engaged Depression-era works like Waiting for Lefty, Awake and Sing and Golden Boy. His Hollywood scripts included The General Died at Dawn (1936), Humoresque (1946), and, most notably, Sweet Smell of Success (1957).
