Extremely rare signature on a 3x5-inch pale grey card, dating to the 1990s. In very good condition and ideal for matting with a favorite photograph. Roman Catholic Jesuit priest and author Fr. William O'Malley made a key foray into film acting in the role of Fr. Joe Dyer in the horror masterpiece The Exorcist (1975). As he was not a professional actor, director William Friedkin needed to give the priest a hard slap in the face to get him to weep and tremble while giving the last rites to Jason Miller as Fr. Karras in the film's climactic defenestration scene. This is just the third example of his autograph we have ever encountered.
