Scarce vintage inscribed fountain pen signature on a 4x5-inch album page, acquired in-person by inveterate collector Howard Davis in the 1930s. In good condition, with a horizontal fold between the dedication and the autograph. Note that the upper piece could easily be trimmed away or matted out. Note also that the image of the star shown alongside the scan of the signature here is not actually included. Dubbed the American Bernhardt, leading early 20th century stage star and silent movie actress Nance O'Neil is perhaps best remembered for her controversial close association with acquitted hatchet murderess Lizzie Borden, which raised rumors of lesbianism.
