Rare vintage 8x10-inch black and white Paramount Studios publicity portrait, dated 1940, boldly signed and inscribed in black fountain pen.  In very fine condition.  Before his early death at the age of 55, prolific character actor Lynne Overman played wisecracking pals and sidekicks in films like Midnight (1934), Little Miss Marker (1934), She Loves Me Not (1934), W.C. Fields' Poppy (1936), The Jungle Princess (1936), Blonde Trouble (1937), True Confession (1937), Union Pacific (1940), Edison, the Man (1940), The Hard-Boiled Canary (1941), Star Spangled Rhythm (1942), and Reap the Wild Wind (1942).
