Cat. #0020341: COLE PORTER

Sorry, this item has already been sold.

Rare vintage 3x4-inch black and white portrait, reproducing a portrait done of him by a sketch artist, boldly signed in black fountain pen, probably in the 1940s or early 1950s. In good condition. Composer, lyricist and wordsmith Cole Porter created an endless string of popular standards for hit shows like "Nymph Errant" (1933), "Anything Goes" (1934), "Dubarry Was a Lady" (1939), "Panama Hattie" (1940), "Kiss Me, Kate" (1948), "Can-Can" (1953), "Silk Stockings" (1954), and "High Society" (1955).
