Cat. #0020352: PETE POSTLETHWAITE

Sorry, this item has already been sold.

Scarce vintage 4x6-inch black and white portrait, boldly signed with his name alone in black felt-tip marker in the 1980s. In good condition. Craggy-faced English character actor Pete Postlethwaite played an assortment of timeworn working-class types and unsightly villains, perhaps most notably Tyrannosaurus-hunting madman Roland Tembo in The Lost World: Jurassic Park (1997). After establishing himself on the stage throughout the 1980s, he made a smooth transition into films, earning an Oscar nomination for In the Name of the Father (1993), and standing out in The Usual Suspects (1995), Brassed Off (1996), Romeo and Juliet (1996), Armistad (1997), The Shipping News (2001), The Limit (2004), Dark Water (2005), horror's The Omen (2006), The Good Son (2007), Clash of the Titans (2010), Inception (2010), and The Town (2010). He died of cancer at the age of 64 and his autograph is rather elusive in any format.
