Cat. #00204011: JANE POWELL

Surprisingly tough to acquire-- especially in uninscribed format!-- vintage 8x10-inch black and white portrait in her prime, shown at a palm tree-lined resort in a swimsuit, boldly signed in black felt-tip pen in her later tears. In good condition. After rising to fame as a singer in her home state of Oregon, pretty Jane Powell was signed to a contract with MGM, unforgettable in musicals like A Date with Judy (1948) with Elizabeth Taylor, Royal Wedding (1951) with Fred Astaire and Seven Brides for Seven Brothers (1954) with Howard Keel.  Her career inexplicably dwindled in the late 1950s, after which she was almost completely confined to television work.
