Cat. #0020431112: TYRONE POWER

Vintage green fountain pen signature on a 3x5-inch pink album page, acquired in-person by a busy New York City-based autograph hound in the late 1940s. In good condition, with the writing a shade light in spots. Handsome leading man Tyrone Power was memorable in classic films like In Old Chicago (1937), Alexander's Ragtime Band (1938), Suez (1938), Jesse James (1939), Rose of Washington Square (1939), The Rains Came (1939), Johnny Apollo (1940), The Mark of Zorro (1940), Blood and Sand (1941), The Black Swan (1942), The Razor's Edge (1946), Nightmare Alley (1948), That Wonderful Urge (1948), and Witness for the Prosecution (1957). He died of a heart attack at the age of 44 and his autograph is rather elusive in authentic format, while secretarial examples abound.
