Extremely rare vintage signature in black fountain pen on a 4x6-inch pale yellow autograph album page, acquired in-person in the 1920s and decorated with a magazine image. In fine condition, with extremely mild blurring of the ink in spots. Silent screen glamour girl Marie Prevost began her career in Mack Sennett comedy shorts, gradually building herself up to a major dramatic star at Universal Studios. Alas, with the advent of talkies, her career collapsed, due to a dreadful speaking voice. She was found dead of acute alcoholism in 1936, aged only 38 years. This is just the fourth authentic example of her autograph we have seen in three decades.
