Extremely rare vintage black fountain pen signature on a 2 x 4.5-inch portion of a tan autograph album page, acquired in-person in the 1920s and decorated with a small magazine image, which has partially fallen away. In good condition for its age, with a circular patch of toning in the upper area. Note that the image of the star accompanying the scan of the signed item here is not actually included with the piece. Plus-sized, matronly Irish-born silent and early talkie character actress Kate Price appeared in nearly 300 films between 1910 and 1937, many of them comedies with Buster Keaton, Flora Finch, John Bunny, and Oliver Hardy, with whom she was paired 14 times. She is also remembered for her portrayal of Mrs. Kelly, opposite Charlie Murray, in the Cohens and Kellys series of 1926 through 1932. This is just the fifth example of her autograph we have ever encountered.
