Highly scarce vintage inscribed green fountain pen signature of the doomed B-movie star, who tragically died of a heart attack while golfing at the age of 35, on a 4x6-inch tan album page, acquired in-person in 1941. In good condition and suitable for matting with a favorite photograph. Note that the image of the star shown alongside the scan of the autograph here is not actually included with the signed piece. Chiefly remembered as the screen's first Captain America in 1944, he also starred in The Case of the Velvet Claws (1936), Mystery House (1938), Valley of the Giants (1938), Nancy Drew, Detective (1938), Drunk Driving (1939), W.C. Fields' classic The Bank Dick (1940), the horror flick King of the Zombies (1941), No Hands on the Clock (1941), I Live on Danger (1942), Phantom Killer (1942), No Place for a Lady (1943), Aerial Gunner (1943), and Mystery of the 13th Guest (1943).
