Cat. #002991421: ALEX RAYMOND

Ultra-rare vintage 1948 typed letter on his personal stationery, assisting fellow cartoonist Kenneth Browne acquire an original piece of "Flash Gordon" artwork for an unspecified project, boldly signed in black fountain pen at the close. Visionary Alex Raymond, who created the legendary comic strips "Flash Gordon," "Jungle Jim" and "Secret Agent X-9," died tragically at age 46, when a car he was driving crashed into a tree due to inclement weather. This is just the third example of his signature we have encountered in over 35 years.
