Extremely rare vintage blue fountain pen signature on a 4x6-inch turquoise album page, acquired in-person in the 1950s. In good condition and ideal for matting. Note that the image of the star shown here alongside the scan of the autograph is not included. Rodd Redwing, supposedly-- but possibly not-- a Chickasaw Native American, began his career as a Hollywood stuntman, standing in for actors in westerns in realistic-looking shooting scenes. He was accidentally shot by Jack Palance on the set of Shane in 1953. As an actor, he portrayed a wide array of Latin, Native and Asian characters in films like The Creature from the Black Lagoon (1954), The Naked Jungle (1954), The Mole People (1956), The Ten Commandments (1956), and Shalako (1968).
