Exceptionally rare vintage inscribed blue ballpoint pen signature on a 3x5-inch tan autograph album page, acquired in-person in the late 1950s, when he was using this form of his varied penmanship. In good condition for its age, with a few flecks of soiling. Hunky, authoritative George Reeves made his screen debut in the opening scene of Gone with the Wind (1939) and went on to gain immortality as the titular Man of Steel on T.V.'s "Superman" (1952-1958). At age 45, he was fatally shot under mysterious circumstances-- possibly suicide, possibly murder-- and his autograph, which is highly sought by collectors, is extremely difficult to find in genuine form. Forgeries, unfortunately, abound-- but this one is the real deal.
