Rare and unusual large vintage 8x10-inch black and white portrait in naval attire, boldly signed and inscribed in blue fountain pen, probably in the late 1940s. In good condition, with gentle edgewear. Handsome leading man Michael Rennie is remembered by horror and sci-fi fans for his portrayal of the sensitive extraterrestrial Klaatu in The Day the Earth Stood Still (1951), and for less celebrated roles in The Lost World (1960), Cyborg 2087 (1966), The Power (1968), and Assignment Terror (1970).
