Uncommon vintage borderless 3.5 x 5.5-inch matte-finish portrait, boldly signed and inscribed in blue fountain pen, probably in the late 1940s. In fine condition, with a minor tack-hole to the upper edge, from having been pinned to a wall for display. Handsome leading man Michael Rennie is remembered by horror and sci-fi fans for his portrayal of the sensitive extraterrestrial Klaatu in The Day the Earth Stood Still (1951), and for less celebrated roles in The Lost World (1960), Cyborg 2087 (1966), The Power (1968), and Assignment Terror (1970).
